Dr. H. Wayne House
Dr. House is a seminary professor and an author. He has published over 50 books many of which are well known works. He was the New Testament editor for the Nelson Study Bible.
He grew frustrated with how he felt the various publishers treated their authors, and he wanted better for them. His desire was to help good authors in publishing their works, to reward them with favorable royalty arrangements, and to be faithful in supporting their commitment to present sound theology that can change the lives of the reader.
He continues to serve Lampion as the Chief Editor. Dr. House has put together the publishing team that exists today.
The Guardians of Tradition

Pastor Faber McMullen
LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY
In early 2026, Dr. House brought Pastor Faber McMullen into the Lampion endeavor. Faber is pastor of Dr. House’s home church, Union Grove Baptist Church of Whitehall. Faber has a solid business background prior to being called pastor to the “Grove”. He received his business education from Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, and North Carolina State University where he earned a Masters Degree in Economics.
In addition, Mr. McMullen has a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from University of Houston. He spent decades founding several successful businesses and practicing law in his community in South Central Texas.

Ray Brogdon
TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR
He is a member of the Grove and he has decades of experience in IT. He authored some of the earliest software that harmonized all of the platforms for differing browsers. He has served as the Technology Director of Lampion executing the changes that Dr. House desired in early 2026. Ray is interested in supporting the venture to enable the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be proclaimed in many of our works.
Ray’s role is vital in increasing the accessebility to and the availability of our author’s works to the readers. Like Dr. House and Faber, Ray serves as a volunteer as he is able in guiding Lampion in its technology needs. The message of the gospel is timeless, but Ray ensures that the delivery will be modern-built on a lifetime of experience in networking and systems.
The Future
The present vision is to continue producing theological works, while expanding the genre of our offerings. We desire to republish many of the classics used by home schoolers and other enquiring minds with illustrations created by Kat McMullen and other artists. Kat is an English Professor who has a love for the classics and how they are visually presented. She is a gifted illustrator. Likewise, Alexander McMullen has a love for ancient literature and desires to present some of the greatest ancient works in modern English.
