Larry G. Lengyel (born 1947) is an Ohio native and longtime Texas resident. He came to Texas to further his career servicing plants mainly in the Petrochemical industry. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering and has worked extensively in service occupations and businesses. Before moving to Navasota, he and his wife, Michele, of 58 years, lived in Katy, Houston, where he served as Men’s Ministry leader for nearly 25 years. He and Michele have three children: Jennifer, Christina, and Larry Jr., and they are grandparents of four grandchildren.

He founded “In His Hands Family Church” and Manhood Ministries. He has spoken at men’s and women’s retreats, emphasizing the need for men to embrace being godly men, godly husbands, and godly fathers. Today he teaches, mentors, and counsels individuals and couples.

Larry was ordained as a Pastor at Union Grove Baptist Church of Whitehall, where he serves as the Associate Pastor. He has received training in biblical counseling in the Stevens Ministry. His books help believers to live out the Fruit of the Spirit in their everyday lives. He has authored 4 books and is currently finishing his fifth book, “The Making of a Warrior,” a father-son mentoring workbook. He has a deep, profound love for serving others, rooted in his faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
